Have you ever talked yourself out of an idea because you’re scared of what other people will say? Or because you feel like you'll fail? Or you'll waste money, and won't be able to make it back?
That is scarcity mindset. And it keeps you small.
It's when you're so focused on having a lack of something—usually time, money or connection—that you can't seem to focus on anything else.
Scarcity mindset fills you with self-doubt and limiting beliefs. Beliefs that you’re not good enough, or that there’s not enough to go around.
In a strange way, we tell ourselves these things to protect ourselves. If we're already prepared for the worst-case scenario, we somehow think that we're keeping ourselves safe.
In reality, if you don't go big with the things that matter, you're actually stunting your business growth. With a scarcity mindset, you’re also less likely to take risks and therefore less likely to discover the new direction that could be waiting for you.
It sounds corny, but what you believe is what you achieve. And I want all of you to believe in the best versions of your businesses, your work, and yourselves.
