I never make mistakes.
No, not really. I can probably name a dozen immediately. But what I learned early on in my career is "Don't waste a good mistake."
If you can learn from what went sideways, chances are you'll take that lesson and apply it to many areas of your work (and life).
This is something I work through with my coaching clients. Basically, it's unpacking what occurred, their reaction and role in it, realizing that often we do the best we can with the information and resources we have, and we look for the lessons. How will they grow from this experience?
I find it's easier to let go and move on once you've processed that. Having a coach to work through that gets you there faster.
